About
The One Year Bible Plan is a discipleship resource designed to take the fear out of one year Bible plans. The goal of the One Year Bible Plan is to provide enough framework to daily Bible reading that personal reading becomes an enjoyable, manageable part of your day. To help you in making Bible reading part of your daily routine, we’ve provided the resources listed below.
Structure
Hebrews 4:12 tells us: “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Reading the Old and New Testament concurrently is a great way to understand the living Word of God which is His message to us. This plan is based upon the YouVersion Plan and will allow you to read through the entire Bible in one year.
Testimonies
Our lives are living testimonies to the power of the blood of Christ and this year we encourage you to share what the Lord has done in your life with our church family. Share Your Testimony!
Sign up for the “Daily Post” to have a new testimony delivered to your inbox each week and be encouraged by the work of the Lord in the lives of His people! View the Testimonies
God Moments
Have you ever had a moment or an encounter that you just knew was the Lord? Maybe you felt God's love in an inexplicable way or felt His hand of guidance through a difficult situation. We will be sharing one of these "God Moments" with you each day for the 2023 Bible Plan when you sign up for the “Daily Post”.

Prayer
Grow in your prayer life with our daily prayers to accompany your reading of Scripture. Your prayer life is a significant part of your walk with Christ and we have added these prayers to assist you in strengthening your relationship with Him. View the Prayers
Promises of God
We know we can trust God’s promises, as He has always been faithful. In this year's Bible plan, weekly posts will alternate between a biblical character’s name with a verse of promise that has been fulfilled and a similar promise directed towards us. View the Promises of God
Memory Verses
Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” To help apply that Scripture, this reading plan offers a verse to memorize each week. The verses appear in bold in the Memory Verse column.
Commentary
Calvary will also be providing daily commentaries and suggestions to foster discipleship and fellowship as we read through the Bible together in 2023. View the Commentaries
Discipleship
Prior to His ascension, Jesus spoke these final words to His disciples, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19a). Jesus commanded His disciples to go and make disciples. One way that we can do that is by encouraging others to join us in our journey reading through the Bible in one year.
Consider asking family members, friends, fellow churchgoers, or even co-workers to join you on this life-changing journey. To use the program for discipleship, you can talk by phone a couple of times each week, or meet each other in person. Consider making 2023 a year to encourage one another in the Word of God!
Fellowship
With so many of us reading through the same Bible reading schedule in 2023, why not make the Word of God part of our fellowship with one another? Rather than focusing our conversations merely on our families, health, or favorite sports teams, let’s remind one another to share what we have read in and are learning from The One Year Bible Plan. What a refreshing way to experience true biblical fellowship!
Pastor Lloyd’s Through the Bible Teachings
To aid your Bible reading, we’ve linked accompanying teachings by Pastor Lloyd. These teachings will help you dig deeper into specific passages and will help explain the background and context that is harder to come by in personal reading. View Pastor Lloyd’s Through the Bible Teachings.
Worship Songs
Our reading of the Bible should lead us to respond in worship. For each day’s reading we’ve linked worship songs with themes that help us celebrate the truths we’ve read. View the Worship Songs

Testimonies
At a very young age I remember asking my parents what that plastic statue is beside my bed? They said it was God, and I said who is God?
I was born in Italy, immigrated to American in 1974 at the age of 14. I still remember clearly the culture shock that hit me noticing at the time the vast differences in foods, clothing, automobiles, sports, housing etc.
I came to know Christ at the age of 17. I was raised as a Catholic but I knew the 10 commandments and wondered why Catholic churches would have statutes/idols all around the church.
Sharing God's story with my life!!! Grateful for His love, grace and mercy! I was born and raised in NYC to Christian Parents who loved the Lord.
I didn't grow up Christian, and my parents separated when I was young. When they divorced my mom moved around me and my brother went with her, leaving all my family behind.
God Moments
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11 esv).
Please forgive me for yet another "saga"...it just seems that all my stories are so complicated, but sometimes it's necessary to understand the point. I'll try to keep this one brief.
This may seem like a repeat of a previous God Moment from me and in a way it is which is why I wanted to share.
During a recent resort stay numerous problems culminated in my asking to speak with a manager.
Every day I pray that God will touch my children, that He will draw them closer, that He will reveal Himself to them. This morning was no different.
Prayers

Lord when Satan shoots those fiery arrows, remind us to run to You. It is with You we can extinguish those arrows from the enemy for You will remove us from their path. We ask in the most powerful name Jesus.

Lord help us to be aware when the enemy is lurking. Give us discernment as he is covered in sheep’s clothing and we can be blinded of his schemes. In Jesus’ name we pray.
October 1
Lord may your will be accomplished in our lives for Your purpose and glory, May we accept with joy whatever comes our way for we know in the end it will turn out for good. In Jesus’ name we pray.
September 1
Lord give us the strength of Shadrach, Meshach and Abendigo, that we would not follow the ways of the world but stand boldly and firm in our faith, especially when those around us are following the world.
August 1
Lord God, may nothing separate us from You. Keep us from distractions from our wants, from our desires, from our thoughts that may not be aligned with Your word. We ask in Jesus’ name.
July 1
Father in heaven You know our deepest thoughts and our desires. Mold our hearts and minds so that we will think and desire only that which will bring You glory today.
