September 25 - Kim M.

Every day I pray that God will touch my children, that He will draw them closer, that He will reveal Himself to them. This morning was no different. I said my prayers, started my day and then my 25 year old son calls. He says mom I need your help. He said I need your spiritual help. He begins to tell me that he has a very close friend who is extremely depressed. She called him last night desperate for his help. She was talking about ending her life and saying that it would be ok because she used to believe in God but doesn't any more.

My son stayed on the phone with her through the night for over 10 hours. He told me he spoke to her about God and what He did in his mother's life and how reading the Bible and having a relationship with God helped his sister with her anxiety. Listening to him made tears stream down my face. All the times I tried to talk to my son about God and I thought he wasn't paying attention, he was and God used this opportunity for him to share God's goodness and greatness with someone he cares for.

For the next hour my son listened to me with an open heart and open mind. I shared the Bible App with him and all the resources it has. God not only answered my prayer but now He will use my son do His work and help a friend in desperate need of the Lord. I pray God touches and heals both these young people. Amen!
