November 3 - Roxanne Kamichoff

When I went walking the track this morning, I saw David, an occasional fellow walker. We have had limited conversations over the last few years, but we share an art background so that has given us common ground. Today he was talking on the phone, so I just waved and continued on. He walks more slowly than I so when he jogged up to me, I knew he needed to talk.

As we walked, he told me that his mother had passed away during the Jewish holidays and that it has been difficult. He was very close with his mother. When I needed to leave the track, I stopped and asked if I could pray for him. Then before I knew it, I said it would be a Christian prayer. I don't know why I said this, but I did. He was fine with that.

After I prayed for him and told him that Neil and I would continue to pray for him, we hugged. David and I have spoken about Jesus Christ in the past and I pray that this God moment will allow continued discussions in the future.
