Please forgive me for yet another "saga"...it just seems that all my stories are so complicated, but sometimes it's necessary to understand the point. I'll try to keep this one brief.

The Newsboys were playing in Carteret, NJ, and I was very much looking forward to going. But as usually happens to GOD's people when they're waiting on a blessing, the enemy did all he could to get in my way. I was running late all day, trying to get everything that needed doing done, and every time I was on the road, the person in front of me wasn't in as much of a hurry as I was! I had to keep reminding myself that the LORD knew this was going to happen from the beginning of time, He does all things in perfect wisdom and love, and He is Lord over everything, even traffic.

I finally get there, and learned that because I spent the extra money on a good seat, I also bought the "VIP experience", which was a free lanyard and a photo op with the band. As happy as I was about that, my urgent need for a bathroom overrode all else. I was mortified to have to walk past the band on the way to the ladies' room! They were very kind and gracious and waited for me, and I got a great picture with them. I shook all their hands and thanked them profusely. They were just about to leave to get ready for the show--they were actually in the elevator--when a family of 4-5, including at least 2 small children, came rushing up the stairs for their photo op. The band was alerted, and they left the elevator and did the shoot with the family.

It occurred to me later that, had I not been running late, that family would have completely missed their opportunity to meet the band. I was only concerned about my own experience and my benefit, but the LORD reminded me that it's not about me. Sometimes, He uses our messes and difficulties to bless someone else. And as we see others receive the blessing, we can't help but be blessed ourselves.
