August 25 - Georgia Silva

As a child, I was neglected and abandoned by my father. I would see him every other weekend until I was 9 and it was discovered that he had a large tumor in his brain. By God’s grace, my father lived 22 years after that diagnosis, but he lived as a disabled man.

My hidden unforgiveness turned into bitterness and I didn’t realize it was eating away at me… until I asked The Lord to reveal to me and wash me of anything that isn’t pleasing to Him.

Sure enough, this bitterness was a big thing that God wanted to cleanse me of! I received a call that my father had a stroke in Mexico in June of this year, and after praying and confirming with my husband, we decided that I needed to get over to California to my sister, and we needed to get my dad over the border.

God’s Perfect, Sovereign Hand was over every single step of the way - from booking the ticket for the very next day, to the day of my dad’s passing in August (and every single day outside of those times as well). My dad lived out his last 2 months in bed in my sister’s home surrounded by love, laughter, family, all arranged by the Unfailing Hand of God.

He confessed Christ as his Savior after watching a sermon in Spanish by Pancho Juarez, and he received his complete healing in the arms of Jesus. I am extremely blessed to say that I, too, received my washing and healing of my bitterness by the grace of God.
