September Prayers

September 1

Father sometimes we can let our perspective make us feel less than. We need to be captivated by the fact that You Lord are enough for us. Help us to stop getting distracted by all that we see and that You would hold our full attention. We pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

September 2

Lord we rejoice in Your goodness today, regardless of the situation we may be in. In our joys in the good and joys in our trials for what may come. Thank you Lord for Your goodness to us and our families. Amen

September 3

Lord and Savior, we are so thankful that we don’t have to do this life alone. You have a plan and a purpose for each one of us. Incline our hearts and minds to know the way You want us to go. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Lord we live in a world of social media where there are buttons of “follow and unfollow”. Father there are times where we follow our flesh which means we have pushed the button to unfollow You. Oh Lord forgive us. May it be the other way around. May we unfollow the world and follow only You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord we know you can heal our physical bodies but You also can heal us from addictions. Whether they are addictions to alcohol, drugs, food, our phones. No matter what it may be we reach out to the hem of Your garment in faith and ask for Your healing. In the name of Jesus we pray.

Heavenly Father, thank You for always paying attention to everything that happens to us. You even notice the smallest things matters to us. Remind us every day that You are with us. In the name of Jesus we pray.

September 7

Oh sweet Jesus, You are the only one who can set people free from the bondage of conforming to gender confusion. Even our children who’ve been raised in the church and have accepted You at one time. Oh Lord have mercy and free them from the lies they’ve come to believe. In Your mighty name, amen.

Thank You Lord, for showing us kindness and love. Give us discernment and eyes to see those around us that may need a kind word or an expression of love. Give us the words to speak to them. In the name of Jesus we pray.

September 9

Father, You see every struggle and know every question we have. When we are in the midst of pain or uncertainty and when our lives are not going our way, help us to hold on to You and trust that You are in control. In Jesus’ name, amen.

September 10

Father, thank You that we can receive Your Peace in the difficult times, even when our lives don’t make sense. When things are hard. Help us to draw strength from Your Word, and believe You can make something good even out of our hard situations. Help us to have Your perspective and remember the amazing things You have in store for our future. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord remind us how critical it is for us to know what Your Word says. For it is our defense against the lies of the enemy. Your words helps us know what is true and what is false and will give us discernment to know what is truth and what is a lie, in the name of Jesus we pray.

September 12

Father there are those of us who look into our past and the sting of shame fills us. We then feel so unworthy Lord and question, are we truly forgiven, do You truly love us? Father remind us that our pasts are gone and we are a new creation in You. In Jesus’ name we pray.

September 13

Lord we know that things are going to happen in our lives, things we are not going to understand. Thank You that You do not expect us to have everything figured out, only that we would trust You. Amen

September 14

Lord help us to dig deeper into You when we have been hurt by others. Remind us that vengeance is Yours not ours. We know that in these times You provide such Grace and comfort if we only keep our eyes on You. In Jesus’ name we pray.

September 15

God our Father, You are a perfect Father. You never lose Your patience with us or get frustrated. You keep all Your promises. You delight in giving us our needs and are always constant and sure. Thank You Abba for what You are to us. Amen

September 16

There are times Lord that You place people in our lives just for a season. Sometimes You use them to convict us and sometimes they are placed by our side to comfort us. Lord help us to see the purpose and be grateful for them for any reason they are here. In Jesus’ name we pray.

September 17

Jehova, we ask that You guard our hearts, minds and tongues, so that we would not sin against You. May all that we do, think and say be pleasing to You and May it glorify Your name. In the name of Jesus we pray.

September 18

Lord God, You and You alone know what’s in our hearts. Remove anything that goes against Your will. Let us not be content until we live in Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name we pray.

Lord if only we would remember that praising You and prayer are our weapons against the enemy. Empower us with Your armor to stand against the enemies' arrows. We pray in the name of Jesus, amen.

September 20

Lord, some of us are up in years and we can feel as if there is nothing more we can do. Lord help us to see that we are certainly needed for ministry, for serving, for teaching others, and You will continue to use us for Your purpose and glory. Amen

September 21

Oh Lord may the light that shines from us make an impact on those around us. May we shine forth Your love and grace. That they would see Jesus living in us. In the name of Jesus we pray.

September 22

Father, there is a large amount of darkness in this world. It is waiting to pull those of us that are willing to listen under its power. But Lord You are light and where there is light, darkness cannot take us. Lord help us to remain in the light. In the name of Jesus we pray.

September 23

Father, in times of uncertainty, we know Lord God You are certain. Even when our plans may fall through and change, the plan You have in store for us will be carried out. And in this we trust. Amen

September 24

Thank You Lord for allowing us to see the need we have for You. You are the only One who knows our hearts and our thoughts and our needs above anyone else. We come to You praising You for Your goodness. Amen

September 25

Lord our God, You have placed a fire within us, a passion to do what You choose for us to do. Help us Lord to fan those flames to keep this passion and walk in Your ways. In the name of Jesus we pray.

September 26

Lord forgive us when we come before You and raise up prayers or read Your word in a humdrum way, instead of reverence, fervency, joy and love. For You our God deserve nothing less. Amen

September 27

Thank You Lord for the blessing of our jobs. Thank You for providing for our needs. Lord we ask for those of us who aren’t able to find a job that You would be merciful and open doors for employment. We ask in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Father our Abba, thank You for choosing us even in our sin. Thank You for saving us and bringing us into the family of Your son Jesus. Thank You for filling us with hope and joy. For You are a good good Father. Amen

September 29

Lord, protect us and our spouses as we enter into this world and into our work places. Keep us all from the enticements that Satan may put in front of us to make us stumble. Strengthen us against the enemy and fill us with Your Spirit. In the name of Jesus we pray.

September 30

Dear Lord, we need to remember how much You care for our burdens. We come before You and when we lift them up to You, we have peace. But then sometimes we take it back and worry fills us again. Forgive us for our foolishness, for not trusting You with our burdens, fears and cares. Amen
