January Prayers
January 1
Dear Lord, as a new year begins, we look to You for our hope, joy and peace. Give us courage to do all that You ask of us. Give us wisdom and discernment to know what isn’t from You. Show us how to walk as You call us to walk in righteousness and to love You even more. In Jesus' name, amen.
January 2
Lord may we kick off the dust of sin that was in this past year and live in Your mercies that are new every morning. May our lives truly reflect who You are and not cause anyone to stumble. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
January 3
Lord many of us have some wonderful expectations and new beginnings this year. The birth of a child, the buying of a house, the start of a new semester at school, a vacation that has been planned and so much more. Lord we thank you for all the blessings You’ve poured out upon us. Let us not see any of these as through our own strength, but from You. Amen
January 4
Father, forgive us when we walk in our own strength. When we do not lean onto Your empowerment to conquer sin, to walk in Your righteousness. We can be so arrogant. In the name of Jesus we pray.
January 5
Lord we love how we can have read your word fifty times, yet it comes alive and brings us truth again and again. Your word has many times shown us something new even when we have already read it. Thank You Lord for Your word that ministers to us over and over. Amen
January 6
Sweet Lord it can be so difficult to quiet ourselves when so much is going on. You ask of us to be still in the waiting, we pray that You fill us with that strength to do so and fill us with an abundance of faith that just overflows. In the name of Jesus we pray.
January 7
Lord there are times our flesh can scream at us that our walk in our Christianity is a burden or unfair. This is such a lie from the pit of hell. When those thoughts come remind us of the love and peace, of the hope and mercy, of the joy there is, in walking the way You call us to. In the name of Jesus we pray.
January 8
Open our eyes Lord to see the wonders and beauty around us, Your creations that are so breathtaking. Let us not take for granted the artistry of Your hands. The sky and all that is in it. The mountains and waterfalls. The animals and plants. Amen
January 9
Thank You Lord for putting godly people in our lives that we can model after. Those that we can glean from. Thank You for these blessings. Amen

Lord help us to keep our attention on you. For the things of this world are begging for our attention. Our flesh can be so weak, but You Lord are mightier and have overcome. Amen
January 11
Lord our God, there are times in the waiting it can feel like you love us less. Others may get their answers from You and here we are still waiting. Do You love them more? Oh Lord help us to see You love each of us the same. In the name of Jesus we pray.
January 12
Father, help us to submit to Your will and not our own. Lord You have Your timeline but we want our own. Forgive us when we buck against Your will. In the name of Jesus we pray.
January 13
Lord what will You have us to do? Paul asked You. Some of us are at a place we do not know what to do and we are asking the same. We so desire to be in Your will and want to honor You in everything we do. Please give us Your wisdom to choose Your desire for our lives. In the name of Jesus we pray.
January 14

January 28
Father, as parents we sometimes wonder if we have truly shown our children Your true attributes. Is our home filled with love and a place where Your Spirit abides? Are we representing You as You are: loving, kind, forgiving. Oh Father if we are not, forgive us and show us the way to be the godly examples to our children. In the name of Jesus we pray.
January 29
