This year, I’ve felt a strong conviction to use the name of Jesus when I speak to people about Him. Some religions have their own gods and they also refer to them as god, but Jesus - oh Sweet Jesus - is the Christian’s Savior. There is power in His name!!! To avoid miscommunication I use the name of Jesus when speaking to nonbelievers.

I recently began listening to Carol Eskaros’s wonderful podcast titled “Rinse and Repeat”, and I felt moved to go beyond and learn the names of God. The amazing thing is that a few days before that, I had started reading a book with my children titled “I Am” and each day we learn a new name of God.

Psalm 91:14-15 says ““Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.””

What a wonderful promise!
