March 24 - Laly Zambrana

Many years ago as I was walking with my daughter and granddaughter toward her apartment in Perth Amboy. There were four young men maybe in their late teens sitting on one of the stoops (stairs) drinking and as we walked by as quick as possible one of them called out and asked if we had a cigarette. My daughter says “ma keep walking”. I felt led to turn around and walk toward them. This was the Lord because I felt such strength and no fear. The words that came out of my mouth was, “Can I pray for you guys?”. I just bowed my head and the words poured out… ”Lord whatever these young men are planning May it not come to be, May they know how much you love them and so much so that you died for them. I prayed protect them and keep them from the enemy.” These words came flooding out and I’m sure there were others but I vividly remember these specific words.

When I opened my eyes one of them was crying. They all said thank you and I said God bless and walked away. One of the guys came running up behind me and said “How did you know? He was going to commit suicide and we were trying to talk him out of it”. I in all awe of the Lord’s mercy totally humbled and in tears said, I didn’t know anything but the Lord did.

I do not know what happened with that young man or his friends. But I do know this was all the Holy Spirit’s moving.
