May 20 - Gabriel Vazquez

I attended Impact Youth at CCOB, and I met a lot of great people who have become like family to me and have brought me to giving my full life to Jesus. After that we talked about this upcoming baptism and God placed it in my heart to get baptized.

Before I was a devoted follower of Christ, I've always gone to church, but never lived my full life for him. I was so caught up in my sin nature that I never gave time for him to work in my life. I then became a strong atheist who was heavily into the LGBTQ+ Community, at the same time I was into vaping, and just worldly things that separate me from God. I was also suffering from Anorexia and had a hard time dealing with self harm. At the same time my dad had an affair with another woman who was in our church as well and decided to abandon our family, which made things much worse for me. I came to know the Lord through CCOB/Impact Youth and Jesus was able to help me break the chains of homosexuality as well as addiction and every other worldly desire I was clinged to.

God gave me a new life as I put my trust in him. I made this decision to give my life to him because I wanted to find peace, but the right peace. And that peace was through Jesus Christ, my living hope!!! God has given me the hope that he has my life in his hands, and that all I have to do is trust in him and live my life for him. I'm glad and proud to be a Child Of God. He has healed me from so many things that I thought I would never be healed from. Now I live for him daily and encourage others to do the same!! Praise to the one who set me free!!!!!
