December Prayers

December 1

Lord, as the time for giving gifts is around the corner, we pray for Your provision for any of us and those families that are struggling financially. You know so well how as a parent You want to give good gifts to Your children. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

December 2

O Lord keep our children from learning the ways of the depravities that are happening around them. Keep them from the wiles of the enemy and the lies he spews into their minds. In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus.

December 3

Lord make us bold to use every opportunity You give us to share the gospel. Remove any timidity we may have that weakens our courage. We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen

December 4

Lord God, thank You for providing us with assurance, hope, purpose, and courage when we face our challenges. It is because of You and these gifts that we can endure these times. Amen

December 5

Almighty God, heal our land from the disease of sin. It has become so dark here Lord and can sometimes feel as if the enemy is winning. We cry out: come Lord Jesus come and save us from this place.

December 6

Thank You Lord for equipping us for where You have called us. May we be obedient to the call You are asking of us to do. We can do hard things because You are a limitless God who will give us all that we need to fulfill Your purpose. Amen

December 7

Lord, bring us back to our first love. When we desired Your word. When we sang to You words of worship and praise. When we would run to You for guidance, comfort and peace, in the name of Jesus we ask. Amen

December 8

Lord some of us feel so weak in our faith. We tend to fall, over and over. Forgive us Father. We ask for a double portion of faith to walk firmly, and strengthened in our faith. In the name of Jesus we pray.

December 9

Change the way we think Lord, for our thoughts are not Yours. Remove any self beliefs that aren’t Yours. Remove stubbornness when we stick to a belief that isn’t true. In Jesus’ name we pray.

December 10

Lord we lift up our marriages to You. We pray that You would be the center. That each of us would take the biblical role of husband and wife. Oh that we would not conform our marriages to that of the world’s design. In the name of Jesus we pray.

December 11

Jehova Rafa our healer, we cry out for Your healing touch. Some of us are sick and are struggling to hold on. We ask for Your mercy and healing in Jesus’ name. Amen

December 12

Change our hearts Father, we can be so hard. We can be unforgiving when someone has hurt us. We can tend to hold onto to grudges and live in the bitterness. Soften our hearts Lord and make them tender and forgiving. In the name of Jesus we pray.

December 13

You Lord are the one true and Holy God. It is to You and You alone we raise our hands and worship. For You alone are our Savior, King and Lord. We praise You and love You. Amen and amen

December 14

Thank You Father for all the blessings You have given us. The love You pour out upon us can take our breath away for we are so undeserving; amen and amen.

December 15

There is power in Your name and knowing this we cry out Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. We pray this powerful and Holy name over our children, spouses and homes. Amen

Lord God we love how You mold us, guide us, heal us, strengthen us individually not as a one size fits all. You uniquely meet each one of us where we are and know exactly how You need to handle us for You are compassionate, kind and loving. For there is no one else who knows us as intimately as You. Thank You

December 17

Sweet Lord we lift up our children that seem so hardened against the truth. That do not want hear anything that has to do with You. Only You Lord can set them free and remove the hardness of their hearts. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Lord we cry out to You for faith that can move mountains. Faith that would believe with our whole being that You can heal, You can provide, You can lift us up. We are weak Lord at times and our eyes can turn inward instead of upwards. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen

December 19

Lord forgive us when we treat our prayers lightly. When we just throw up petitions without care. If only we would realize that our prayers are actually a lifeline to You. That You are our God almighty. You are our life giver. You are King and Lord. Amen

Father thank You for the joy You give to us. The joy that is etched on our hearts. Your joy is never ceasing. This world’s joy is fleeting but the joy You fill us with is eternal. Amen

December 21

Lord help us to see and acknowledge the work You have done in our lives. May we see them clearly and praise You and give You all the glory. In the name of Jesus we pray.

December 22

Father change our perspective when we pray and our circumstances do not change. Help us to see this as Your perfect will and rest in the truth that You do care and have not forsaken us. In Jesus’ name we pray.

December 23

Lord sometimes we feel that circumstances in our life are unfair. Someone else got the promotion. Someone else was healed. Someone else’s child was chosen for the scholarship, the list goes on. Lord help us to see the blessing in this. To see Your purpose. May we give these feelings of life is unfair to You and find peace. Amen

December 24

Lord we sing: O holy night! the stars are brightly shining; it is the night of the dear Savior’s birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining, till He appeared and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope - the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn! Fall on your knees! O hear the angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born! O night, O holy night, O night divine!

December 25

Today we rejoice and celebrate Your coming humbly to this earth as a baby. Today we celebrate with joy the gift You’ve given to us. The love You have given and the sacrifice it took for us to be called Your children. We praise You. Amen

December 26

Dear Lord, be with those new parents who are sleep deprived. This can usually make everything seem more complicated and views less realistic. Strengthen them during this time and give them peace and raise up those around them to give a hand. In Jesus’ name. Amen

December 27

Lord let us see the blessings that are right in front of us. Remove the negative thoughts that can fog up our vision and our faith. In the name of Jesus we pray.

December 28

Father give us faith that will endure during times of uncertainty. In times that don’t make sense. In times when we do not understand what You are doing. To rest in Your truth and Your knowledge that You only want what is best for us. Amen

December 29

Lord God when troubles come help us to see them as opportunities to grow. Help us to see that even in the midst of these there can be joy and peace. In Jesus’ name. Amen

December 30

For some of us Lord this past year has been a difficult one. The loss of loved ones, wayward children. Broken relationships, loss of jobs, illnesses and so much more. Lord we have clung onto You through them all and we Thank You for seeing us through them. It is only because of You and Your faithfulness we can stand and fight through these adversities. Amen

December 31

Lord as we come to the close of this year, we pray we have drawn closer to You than ever. Oh that we would seek Your face through the New Year and not succumb to the pressures of sin. Set us free from all earthly desires we may still have. Thank You Lord in Jesus' name. Amen
