SOUND OF HOPE MOVIE NIGHT

Friday, March 14 at 7:00pm (Doors open at 6:00pm)

(Hosted by Caring For His Children-Adoption & Foster Care Ministry)

Caring for His Children, the Adoption and Foster Care Ministry of Calvary Old Bridge, hopes you will join them for a special screening of Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot on Friday, March 14 in the main sanctuary.

This film follows Donna and Reverend Martin as they ignite a fire in the hearts of their rural church to embrace children in the foster care system who needed adoptive families, proving that steady, determined love can transform the lives of vulnerable children. In the story of Possum Trot, God led many members of the community to become foster and adoptive parents. But those were not the only roles needed. In the most stressful moments for these families, people showing up to cook, do laundry and provide emotional support made all the difference.

Scripture is clear how we as a body can relate to each other with our unique gifts and talents to help the body work together as a whole unit to serve the Lord. We each have a specialized role to play and that is no different in the world of foster care and adoption.  We hope for viewers to pray on finding their individual and creative ways to rally around children and families in this ministry just like they did in Possum Trot.

*Due to some intense material and traumatic themes, we would encourage people to pray about the topic before bringing children younger than high school age.

The movie is FREE and has a PG-13 rating. Doors open at 6PM, and the movie will begin promptly at 7PM.

Concession tables will be available for a suggested donation and there will be an array of movie treats & snacks. The Cafe will be serving drip and specialty coffee.

If you are interested in foster care and adoption, already involved, or praying on how to be a support to someone that has adopted or fostered, please join us next Saturday, March 22nd at 8:30am for our informational summit
