September 5 - CP

One morning a few weeks back looking out of my kitchen's window I noticed an older man walking dressed in non-western attire; my first reaction of thoughts wasn't pleasant or welcoming. A few more mornings of watching this older gentleman, I felt compelled and convicted to say hello. Once we introduced ourselves we started conversing in general terms and day by day a little more until one day he asked me what was the meaning of the statue in front of my house, to which I replied that it is for decoration only and not for any religious purpose or symbolism, and that being a Christian we do not worship any image but only the living God of the Bible.

From that statement on our conversations changed, and He shared with me that in his village in India there is a person whom he knows that is a Christian and that he now is very interested in learning more about Christianity and would like to even become a believer.

It just so happened that a neighbor of mine had given me a tract called This is Your Life in the Hindi language a few days before this conversation which I then gave to my neighbor's father the next day.

A few days later we met again and he told me that he had read the pamphlet and truly liked it. And so our next conversations were even more concise and deeper and ended up with His desire to want a Bible in His language. Again just by coincidence my neighbor had just run out of the Hindi Bibles and ordered a few more. When when they arrived He gave me one and I in turn gave to the older gentleman from India.

And so came His time to return to India, leaving me with an amazing, humbling and enthralling realization that the Lord God had purposed for me to have had a little part in His eternal plan to touch and reach out for a soul from the ends of the Earth.

What an Amazing Father God.
