March 21 - Dan Finney

Well, here I am again with God's Spirit prodding me to set the record straight and share what really is the "so what" of the tree saga.

A couple days ago I shared how I miraculously survived a fall from a tree. One important aspect I started writing but edited out due to length keeps coming to mind and between reading the Bible Plan the last two days and attending the Men's Breakfast I now feel I should follow up to add for completeness.

My pride and self sufficiency was "obliterated". I was a DEAD MAN but for God's Grace and Hedge of Protection! Within moments of regaining consciousness that CERTAINTY was engraved in my mind! God was clearly not done with me yet! As several times before in my life, God preserved me when it was impossible or highly unlikely. God clearly Blessed me with the gift of athleticism, ability, & confidence to do this yet after climbing and cutting down so many trees and other dangerous things over the years, I think I was giving myself the credit, forgetting where my strength comes from, forgetting the confidence and capability originated from God.

I am so humbled that He loves me THIS MUCH, that my life has value and purpose, that God knows me, that He gave me another chance to live with a renewed perspective, that I can share with others what this "Great and Awesome God" has done for me.
