March 2 - Roxanne Kamichoff
We can be like Johnny Appleseed planting seeds of who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for us. Recently, my husband and I were at a department store to make a return. Now, I am not opposed to making returns, but my husband does not like the practice! He feels that if you buy something, you should keep it. Fair enough, but sometimes a return is necessary.
So, we were standing at a very busy sales counter. When it was our turn, my husband couldn’t refrain from sharing with the sales person a bit of his philosophy about returns to which I made a retort or two; the sales person chuckled about our verbal exchange. She then asked what was the secret to our success. Then she was temporarily whisked away to attend another customer. When she returned, I told her the answer to our success, assuming she meant our marriage, which in fact she did. I told her that our success was because of our relationship with Jesus Christ. To which, she loudly responded, “I knew it, I knew it.” With our return completed and our sales person whisked away once again, I silently said “Thank you, Lord.” We planted a seed and did not cause someone to stumble. How great is our God!!
