GOD MOMENTS, when we are blessed to have them, how glorious! I had one of those moments today! Let me share with you!
My son went to visit friends in Elmont, New York! I received a telephone call last night from a woman; her name was Jennifer. Her message left on my phone: Hi, my name is Jennifer and I found a wallet which I believe belongs to a Frank Doka. Please call me if I have reached the correct party! As I was not at home when she called, I received the message late last night but I googled her name and she lived in Elmont, New York!
I called my son and asked him if he lost his wallet. He said he did but didn't want to call and worry me, but that someone found it and brought it to the local police precinct. He went to the precinct and picked it up. While there, one of the officers said to him "Do you know how lucky you are that someone returned this wallet with so much cash inside? Why do you carry around so much cash?" He had $2,400 in his wallet but said he didn't realize he had that much. Yes, he was lucky; I say blessed! Nothing was disturbed, nothing taken.
I sent Jennifer a message of thanks but afterward, something made me google her name which I was able to retrieve from my phone. What I saw made my heart break, but I was not sure if I had the correct person, but I saw a Go Fund Me. This Jennifer lost her husband on January 23, 2020, very abruptly, and has two children. I had to message her again and said "I hope you do not think I am stalking you but are you the Jennifer who has the Go Fund Me cause if you are, then the date of April 6th will mean the world to you; you see my son's birthday, whose wallet you returned, his birthday is on April 6th. She messaged me back very quickly and said that she could not believe that because her husband who passed, his birthday was April 6th!!! I told her, "yes, I know, I read it on the Go Fund Me and I, too, could not believe that they share a birth date".
She said she felt that she had just received a big hug from her husband and I marveled at how wonderful and amazing God is; how he works in mysterious ways and how her act of kindness had such a sign from above linked to it!! I really love when things like this happen. The chances of her finding my son's wallet, who was born on April 6th, which brought me to her husband's Go Fund Me who was born on April 6th, 1970, just wow and truly one of those moments you just look up and say "thank you God; I know that was you"?
