Daniel 5:1-31 | PS 119:113-128 | Prov 28:19-20 | 2 Peter 2:1-22

We deem ourselves so evolved, so full of wisdom (because we can look up things on a phone), so enlightened. Yet a simple look around should make us realize that in many ways a child in kindergarten possesses more discernment than adults do now. Any child knows the difference between boys and girls, but humans have "evolved" to the point that we no longer know the difference. Any child would know that the killing of a baby in the womb, or allowing the death of one within the first month of life is wrong, but we are so wise in our own eyes, that this obvious killing has been renamed and rebranded and is even exalted. A booster is being pushed, and masks are being once again pushed, despite the clear evidence that at best they failed to accomplish what they stated, but worse than that have been the cause of much harm, if nothing else the dissemination of widespread fear. This is not meant to be said disparagingly, but the so-called leader of the free world, is sadly suffering from lack of mental acuity, yet many still hold on to his words. We, the people have been snowed. We have become fools. Whenever the populace shuns the Word of God in favor of societal norms, the slippery slope has started, and the depths to where it leads is devastating. But the blind fools continue to parade around, holding to the philosophy of "Let them eat cake". Keep people with their "stuff" and pretty much the demonic destruction of their world will continue to unfold without discernment or detection to the majority.

We read in 2 Peter 2:1-2, "But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed." Paul knew the same thing, as we read in Acts 20:28-29, "Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock." These false teachers were popping up while the movement of Christianity was still fresh. We read more about them in 2 Peter 2:12-14, "But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children."

This is not new, though perhaps it is reaching new levels. In 2 Peter 2:15, he mentions that these teachers follow the way of Balaam. He mastered the art of compromise. Two thousand years later, with the Word of God increasingly marginalized, one compromise at a time, and we are now witnessing what becomes of such foolishness. It is time to get back to fundamentals. There is no other way than Jesus Christ. There is no other written source of truth other than the Bible. There are not many ways or many "good" books. The only hope we have is in Jesus Christ. The only hope that our nation has is revival. No colored wave of politics will suffice. It is Christ and Christ alone. This must be our clear and unwavering message to a very desperate world on the brink of collapse.
